What Is The iTero Scanner?

The iTero Element Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital impression system that eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional alginate impressions—no more messy putty in your mouth! It is specifically designed to capture high-quality, digital impressions of your teeth that your orthodontist will use when creating your personalized, custom orthodontic treatment plan. The iTero scanner is designed to put the latest technology at your fingertips and make intraoral scanning fun. The scans from the iTero system are three-dimensional images, captured via a small camera that moves around your mouth and scans your teeth at every angle.

How Does iTero Affect Treatment?

The iTero Scanner helps improve treatment both on the patient and orthodontist side creating a more efficient and comfortable process all-around. On the patient side, the iTero camera system improves treatment comfort significantly by eliminating the need for the traditional putty and tray system in order to get impressions. On the orthodontist side, the scanner produces more accurate images than the impressions. This allows us to create real-time personalized treatment plans for all of our patients.
